I played Pandemic for the first time a couple weekends ago. It was pretty fun, which already makes it better than every other co-op game I've played. However, even after a couple games, it was becoming rapidly obvious that the replay value of the game would be severely limited. There's just not enough variation in the game, because the game always uses the same "strategies". Without a person as the opponent, there's simply no way for the game to change things up and make it interesting. Pandemic partially fixes this by just being really difficult, and being able to increase the difficulty to insane levels.
That being said, the game was definitely a lot of fun, simple to learn, and it was actually enjoyable to work with the rest of the players to try to find a way to win. Kinda felt like D&D where we all discuss strategy before diving into a combat.
If I found Pandemic cheap, second hand or something, I would probably buy it, since it's pretty fun to play and games go quick, but I'm not sure I would buy it full price, since I'd be afraid I'd only play it a couple times before getting tired of it.
